Wine Item Detail Item Description:Biggio Hamina 2008 Melon de Bourgogne - Deux Vert Vineyard Tasting Notes: Todd Hamina sourced his Melon from the Deux Vert Vineyard which was planted in 1994, and is located in the Yamhill Carlton AVA. The Melon varietal originated in Burgundy, but is better known as Muscadet in the Loire Valley. This delicious crisp white has scents of ripe melon and roses, leading the way for fresh apple peel, classic citrus and cracker dust on the back palate. A fine vein of minerality lends to the structure, well-balanced acidity, a mouthfeel reminiscent of silk, and a good, long finish.
