Wine Item Detail Item Description:Iota 2009 Pinot Noir - Pelos Sandberg Vineyard Tasting Notes: The 2009 is a silky smooth and almost unctuous wine. Big but with a bear hug and not a four by four to the back of the head. This is the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. Sourced from all four of the clones planted at PSV, there is so much going on in this little guy, that it is awe inspiring. Along with dark inky plum, warm strawberries, sandalwood and a dynamic spice with dusty pepper, this is a wine with clean red fruit, a hint of rose, and earth that has great mouthfeel, nicely balanced acidity and a light pleasant tannic presence. Once again, with a lengthy finish, iOTA only describes the 300 case production, not the wine itself. RESERVE IT!>> >>Back |
