Cameron 2007 Pinot Noir - Abbey Ridge Vineyard

Tasting Notes:
Abbey Ridge has always been my favorite bottling from Cameron. This site is one of the highest vineyards in the Red Hills of Dundee and is generally harvested later in the growing season. In 2007 producers were trying to determine whether or not to harvest before the projected rains or wait the rains out. This decision wasn’t easy for anyone, but given the orientation and elevation of this site, the fruit at Abbey Ridge had to hang. That additional time on the vines allowed the fruit to develop great flavors as well as high natural acidities and produced a wine with tremendous aging potential.
