Wine Item Detail Item Description:Beaux Freres 1998 Pinot Noir Tasting Notes: An extraordinarily small crop that produced super-concentrated, tiny berries resulting in a dense purple-colored wine with full body, and gorgeous black cherry aromas as well as flavors intermixed with spice, vanilla, and earth. A dense ruby/purple color (more opaque than the 1999 or 2000) is followed by a reticent bouquet that, with coaxing, offers up hints of licorice, singed saddle leather, concentrated, macerated black cherry and blackberry fruit, and hints of toasty oak in the background. In the mouth, it reveals exceptional sweetness, dense, concentrated, powerful flavors, with considerable muscle and depth.
